Panic! on the Disco is a pop rock/electronica band depending out of Las Vegas, Nevada. The band is constructed from Brendon Urie (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and his early life friend, Spencer Smiths (drums), along side their schoolmate, Ryan Ross (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals).
To advertise their music, the band made touch with Pete Wentz (of Fall Out Boy) due to his LiveJournal website. Impressed via the band, Wentz for my part met with the band and signed them to his imprint label Decaydance. Under the label, the band launched their debut album, A Fever You Cant Sweat Out, which could debut at #112 on the Billboard two hundred album charts.
Featured in Spin magazine as their band of the day in early October 2005, reaching #1 at the MySpace chart, and invariably staying in PureVolumes Top 10 chart, may best support develop the bands fame. An visual appeal on MTVs TRL on January 17, 2006, at the best in their track video for I Write Sins Not Tragedies, also helped garner the band a good deal exposure.
